Children
For children, this means that we do our best to really get to know your child, and help them to understand and express themselves authentically. Some example goal areas that we may work on include pronouncing sounds more clearly, understanding language, putting thoughts into words, sentences, or stories, advocating for what we need, and understanding how our brains and others’ brains work.
Following conversations about how best to support your child, we may use sign language, visual supports, and/or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support your child’s communication, as well as supporting your child’s verbal language development.
Adults
For adults, we want to make sure we are working on goal areas that are meaningful to you. We will figure out what type of change you’d like to make, and support you to reach your goals.

We provide assessments and therapy in the following areas:

Our sensory room is now open!
Our goal is to help people communicate. For many kids, especially children with ADHD, autism, or sensory processing disorders, sensory supports are needed to become regulated. We have set up a space where speech therapy can happen while supporting kids’ unique sensory needs. For one child we might use low, dim lighting while they are on a sensory swing; for another child, we might provide opportunities to climb, feel different textures while playing, and jump on a mini trampoline. We find that when we prioritize accommodating children’s sensory needs, we are often impressed with the ways they communicate! This makes a sensory room a very helpful place for speech therapy sessions.
